Cancellation Policy 

Overnight Pet Sitting:

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking cost is required to secure the reservation. This deposit will serve as a cancellation fee in case of cancellation. Any cancellations made the day of the start of the booking or later will be charged in full for the full invoice amount.

All other services:

Lobo Tails has a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If any changes are made within that time it will result in a 50% charge to the card on file. Any day of cancellations will be charged in full.

Refunds are given as account credits to be used towards other pet care services.

Past due invoices will incur an additional $5.00 late fee each consecutive day the invoice is past due. 7 days of no/late payment will result in our working relationship being terminated.

Pet Requirements

Dogs and cats must be current on their Rabies vaccines and proof of vaccination is required to request services. If your veterinarian has advised against vaccination, a signed letter of medical exemption will be accepted in lieu of a Rabies vaccine certificate. All other vaccines are not required, but recommended based on your pet’s health and lifestyle. Please consult your veterinarian for vaccine advice.

Pets exhibiting signs of aggression may not be able to receive care due to the fearful and stressed state they may be in. Training and veterinary consults may be recommended before your pet can resume pet care services for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

How to Prepare for a House-Sitting Booking

To ensure your sitter can focus entirely on your pets and home, please complete the following steps before your departure:

  • Accommodations: Provide freshly laundered bedsheets and bathroom towels.

  • Kitchen Space: Clear a shelf in the refrigerator and pantry for the sitter’s groceries.

  • Connectivity: Leave your Wi-Fi network name and password in a visible location.

  • Home Security: Secure all windows, doors, and gates. Ensure smoke alarms and keyless entry systems have fresh batteries.

  • Service Logistics: Cancel or notify any regularly scheduled contractors (landscapers, cleaners, etc.) unless otherwise agreed upon with your sitter.

How do I book overnight pet sitting correctly?

One "overnight" charge covers a 24-hour period. If you need coverage beyond that 24-hour window on your return date, please use the following guidelines:

Up to 6 additional hours: Book an Extended Stay for your final day.

More than 6 additional hours: Please book an additional “overnight” (day coverage) charge.

Our Care Standards & Policies:

Supervision: Pets will not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time.

Rates: For specific pricing, please visit our Services and Rates page. Note that add-on fees apply for weekends, holidays, and additional pets.

Puppy Rate: A separate rate applies to puppies under 18 months. This covers the extra care, direct supervision, frequent potty breaks, and accident cleanup required for younger dogs.

Payment: A non-refundable, non-transferable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid before services begin.

Early Returns: No refunds are issued for early returns. Because we reserve these dates exclusively for your pets, we are unlikely to find a replacement booking on short notice.

Key Access: Please leave 2 house keys in a secured lockbox on your property. We will retrieve the key upon arrival and return it to the lockbox at the end of the final visit.

Arrival/Departure: Due to a full schedule of appointments, there is no direct contact with the sitter at the beginning or end of the trip.
